The Austrian squad has announced significant changes for the 2026 Grand Prix year, moving up French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and giving 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive. Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be the partner of New Zealander Liam Lawson at the sister squad Racing Bulls. This reshuffling sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive after five seasons. Lindblad has been marked out as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Talking about the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "looks really promising", highlighting his "natural quickness". Red Bull prepared a programme since last year to prepare Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring runs in F1 practice sessions at Silverstone and Mexico City. The rookie said it was a "proud moment", commenting: "Next season represents a massive test, and I know there's much to understand, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started." Lindblad has taken two races in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the standings ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi. A Major Opportunity for Hadjar Isack Hadjar enjoys his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race in August. The Frenchman's debut season started in difficult fashion when he crashed on the formation lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. However, from that point, he has been one of the stand-out newcomers of the year. His performances included an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the drivers' standings.
