The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's vital top-flight encounter against local opponents Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England international was unavailable due to a fractured toe suffered after an unfortunate incident.

“He is fit to begin and feature,” Maresca said. “Everyone is happy.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances in all tournaments, scoring twice.

Gueye promptly expressed regret, and the pair were seen making up afterwards in a light-hearted online post.

However, the appeal against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must complete a three-game ban, making Everton short-staffed for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager the manager stated. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we moved on rapidly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

3. Yoane Wissa Practices with The Magpies for Initial Session since Injury

The club's new acquisition Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee injury shortly after his move from his former club in the autumn.

However, Nuno stressed that there can be no complacency when the sides clash on Sunday at the their home ground.

“The past of the outcomes before, the performance of the teams, is not that important. It is about the day. Aware that we are going to face a high-quality team, that has players capable of doing fantastic things, so we have to be fully prepared, to perform.”

West Ham will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are stepping up their return from injury.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Nottingham Forest against The Seagulls

The club's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the team's home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The defender was feeling his hamstring after the 3-0 European win, but Dyche said the player “should be fine”.
